KEY VERSE: For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10, NLT

The primary reason for living intentionally is to glorify Him as the person He intended you to be and to live out the good deeds He planned for you to do.

Additionally, intentional living helps you:
  • Reduce stress
  • Develop self-respect
  • Establish healthy relationships
  • Avoid overcommitment and burnout.

Step One includes user-friendly, recyclable "awareness tools."

Perhaps your life isn't exactly as you envisioned it would be at this stage of your life. Yet when you come as you are to God, you can be assured that He will fulfill His commitment to guide and produce good in you. (Eph. 2:10)
KEY VERSE: I trust in you, O Lord; I say, You are my God. My times are in your hands. Psalm 31:14-15

Every woman has a story written with the multi-colored pens of her experiences, relationships, pain, disappointments, dreams, choices, failures and successes.

There is power in YOUR story and you maximize that power when you partner with God.

To experience the power of your story, it is beneficial to look at where you've been, what you've enjoyed, and the significant events (whether perceived as positive or negative.) These experiences, achievements, and relationships helped shape you.

When you remember and celebrate your yesterdays, learning from past experiences, you start to appreciate God's loving goodness in developing your unique life script. You can then say: I trust in you, O Lord. You are my God. My times are in your hands. (Psalm 31:14-15.)

KEY VERSE: I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
Psalm 139:14-17

Identifying and understanding your own internal makeup can help you relax and cooperate with God to become the best version of yourself-the woman He designed you to be.

In Step Three, you'll enjoy doing an easy personality assessment. You'll learn whether you're naturally fast-paced or slow-paced and if you're inherently people-oriented or task-oriented.

Then you'll have the opportunity to surrender to God what you've learned about yourself, your yesterdays and your current circumstances.

God delights in you with your specific temperament, personality characteristics, gifts and interests.

He wants you to understand who you are, so that you can come boldly and freely into His presence with authenticity and integrity as the person He designed you to be.
KEY VERSE: Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. ...Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly. JESUS
Matthew 11:28-29

We live in an age of over-choice.

Until you understand the roles you are attempting to manage at your current life stage, you will continue to find it difficult to be objective about your needs, goals, and realities. Then you can feel overwhelmed and not know exactly why.

In Step Four, you'll complete the powerful & re-usable "ROLES PINWHEEL" exercise, clarifying your current roles, and the stressors & supports in each role.

In Matthew 11:28, Christ invites you to come to Him,  find renewal, work with Him to balance your current roles gracefully. He will not overburden you with unrealistic expectations, but to allow you freedom and space to choose, plan, and grow.

YOU DO HAVE CHOICES!
KEY VERSE: I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the wonderful future he has promised to those he called.
Ephesians 1:18 NLT

Clarifying your next intentional step need not involve making a major life change, although it may. It might simply mean taking a baby step within the context of your current circumstances.

Step five includes the re-usable PPPPA method:
  • Pinpoint the intentional action you want to take, based on what God has been showing you.
  • Pray for wisdom and direction.
  • Picture your desired outcome.
  • Plan how you will accomplish your intention. What resources do you need?
  • Act. What will you do? When will you do it? Who will you tell?
By taking one step at a time, we will have a lifetime of intentional living.
"Are you tired? Come to me. ...Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)
