Your Thanksgiving celebration Doesn't Have to Be Perfect to Be Satisfying and Blessed

Years ago I prayed for God to send me a few special friends. He did. Dawnita is one of those friends. We're both Life Coaches and Spiritual Directors. But she is an artist. Photographer. Poet-Writer. Passionately creative. This year she had more than her share of medical challenges, including an unexpected stroke. Yet her creativity continues to shine, even during the messy recovery process.

So I asked her to create something to help us celebrate this Thanksgiving 2025--imperfect though it may be. Within moments, she texted me this Gratitude collage with her photography and poem. The words that pop out at me are "bring your joys and sorrows to the table of belonging" and experience "resilient hope" in "writing a new story" for yourself next year. 

Dawnita partners with our Loving Triune God, inviting you and me to reaffirm the truth that "Life--including our Thanksgiving celebration--doesn't have to be PERFECT just as we think it SHOULD be in order to be satisfying and blessed." 

May we join together to SAVOR not only our Thanksgiving potluck, but also God's loving hope this season.
